About Jeff's website galleries include over 250 North American species available for publication use. He has photographed birds in their natural habitat in Florida, California, North Dakota, Canada, and all of New England. Jeff's primary passion however is where more field time versus travel time is possible, in the close-to-home Northern Forest-especially the Adirondack region of northern New York State. This is a unique preserve of both public and private lands, six-million acres of mountain ranges, thousands of lakes and ponds, boreal lowlands, hardwood forests, and open spaces. An abundant variety of avian species inhabit this region- boreal species such as spruce grouse, gray jay, and boreal chickadee; woodland warblers, bald eagle and common loons live here. Adjacent and east of the Adirondacks, the Northern Forest continues across northern New England- Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
